Da Massimo in Trier

Corona or not, the "real Da Massimo" has not existed there for years. Unfortunately, the new management was allowed to take over the name. But that is the only thing that is as good as it used to be.

Good food, friendly staff, normal price. Definitely recommended.

The food is great and the staff are usually friendly and nice. Unfortunately, this friendliness was missing today. If you order something in a name, it would be no problem to collect something in the name. No that's not enough, you have to mention what you ordered. That makes no sense. It might be better in the future. Everyone has a bad day ...

Great restaurant! The food was great, the service very accommodating. The ambience is also very pleasant. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone.

The service is getting worse and worse. Despite prior reservations, we had to wait 20 minutes for the table. We also had to wait forever for the order to be received. When we called a waiter's attention in passing, it was only snappy that he was about to come. The taking of the order wasn't very professional either. Instead of coming to the guests, we had to call over the entire table and all around it at full volume.

We have been visiting the Da Massimo restaurant for many years now and it's time to leave a review. The food tastes great and is always of the same and good quality, and is well presented on the plate. No matter from salad, pizza, pasta, fish or a good steak, there is something for everyone on the generous menu. Even the dishes for children are lovingly arranged, such as pasta on a Mickey Mouse plate or pizza in a Mickey Mouse shape. The interior of the restaurant is a mix of cozy, harmonious, stylish, elegant and modern. Here, too, has been modernized several times over the years, which shows that the owners invest regularly. We have already been there with work colleagues, friends or to a family celebration and everyone has always been enthusiastic. Many of the staff have been working there for many years, which shows that there is a good and harmonious working atmosphere. The staff is always friendly, attentive and entertaining, we always feel welcome, the owner herself also runs and is always present. A class hostess! We still like to come and look forward to many more visits to the Da Massimo restaurant

What a fun place! The service is super friendly, the menu is very extensive, the dishes were super tasty. We had read a review saying they are large portions, that's right! We had 2 pizzas and 1 fish dish with multiple fish. Now we come from a fishing village, so we can be picky with fish, but the fish were also deliciously prepared. We had a good meal and left full and satisfied. Asked staff for sweet cocktail, got Lillet Wild Berry, was very delicious. At the end we also got a drink from the house. This place is really recommended!

We were with 4 people today, at 1pm, at "Da Massimo" It was a friendly waitress who was courteous. The starter, an Italian salad, was plentiful and with good ingredients. Our main dishes were, as can be seen, also very nicely arranged and very tasty. All in all a successful lunch. Again any time.

The food and atmosphere were lovely, unfortunately we were a bit shocked when we asked for the bill. Unfortunately the bill was only "hit" on the table and we were immediately left without a sound because we were probably thinking we would pay together. We did not want. After almost 15 minutes, someone came and took the raked money. Despite this unfortunately unsightly situation everything else was very good, service and food.

Really enjoyEd the food here. We arrived at the campersite very hungry and this was the nearest restaurant, so happy we ended up here

This restaurant was recommended by my cousin jenny, and man was it a great recommendation. The owner was incredibly kind and the entire staff were awesome. We never poured our own glass, it was always full. They were incredibly accomodating and spoke great English! The food was by far the best we had on the trip and we left fuller than we thought possible!! If 10 stars were an option, this place would have 12!

Great place for BIG PIZZA !

We discovered this restaurant by chance, having been invited by friends, a few years ago. Ever since, we drive there (that's 50 km - a telltale sign, isn't it) at least once a week as we enjoy the service and the diversity of the menu card. The restaurant has free parking in front of the house and in the backyard. In summer there is an outside terrace (especially if you are a smoker) and also a sort of covered terrace (the windows of the room open completely). They have an excellent Italian wines selection at reasonable prices.

Ordered a grilled fish platter for 20 Euro p.P. and got deep fried fish, which wasn't tasty - very disappointing!
